Tony Hawk Makes a Surprise Visit to Skate in Shaw Park in DC

Imagine being at a skate park and skateboard legend Tony Hawk shows up next to you.

Well, that's what happened this weekend in DC at the famous Shaw Park. The skate park had been closed all year until this October for renovations, so what better way to test out the new ramps than having the most popular skateboarder of all-time come and give them a ride?

Hawk was reportedly in town to speak at the Association for Financial Professionals Conference and promote his Skatepark Project which "helps build safe, inclusive skating arenas in underserved communities."

A video clip of the legend uploaded to Twitter shows Hawk taking a ride in the bowl in front of a bunch of onlookers who seem like they can't believe what they're seeing.
